1 Corinthians 1

Read chapter

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and praise. We thank You for the grace and peace You have given us through Your son, Jesus Christ.

May we always remember that in You, we have been enriched in every way – in all speech and all knowledge, for Your testimony about Christ was confirmed in us. We are not lacking in any spiritual gift as we eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

Help us to be united in mind and thought, to be free from divisions and to be perfectly united in mind and thought. Let us not boast in anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to us, and us to the world.

May we always remember that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Keep us humble and wise, that we may never be led astray by the wisdom of the world.

Thank You for calling us into fellowship with Your son, Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray that You continue to strengthen us until the end, so that we may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
