Bless my church leaders

Bible references

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV):
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

Hebrews 13:17 (NIV):
“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”

Colossians 4:2 (NIV):
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

Ephesians 6:19-20 (NIV):
“Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”

1 Thessalonians 5:25 (NIV):
“Brothers and sisters, pray for us.”

James 5:16 (NIV):
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Acts 20:28 (NIV):
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”

Heavenly Father, we come before you with hearts filled with gratitude for the leaders you have appointed in our church. We lift up our pastors, elders, deacons, and all those in leadership roles to your throne of grace, asking for your abundant blessings upon them.

Lord, grant our church leaders wisdom that comes from above, as described in James 3:17. May they lead with discernment, humility, and a deep understanding of your Word. Fill them with the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Bless their families, Lord. May their homes be places of love, peace, and encouragement. Strengthen the bonds between them, and let their households be a reflection of your grace.

Protect our leaders, Lord, from the schemes of the enemy. Clothe them in the full armor of God, as outlined in Ephesians 6:10-18, so that they may stand firm in the face of spiritual battles.

Lord, we pray for their spiritual well-being. Refresh them daily in your presence, renew their spirits, and ignite a passionate love for you in their hearts.

Grant them strength, endurance, and joy in their service. May their labor in the Lord be fruitful, and may they see the impact of their ministry in the lives of those they lead.

We also ask for unity among our church leaders. Let them be of one mind, striving together for the sake of the gospel. May their collaboration be a testimony to your love and grace.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of our church leaders. May your favor rest upon them, and may they continue to shepherd your flock with love and dedication.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
