Heal someone

Bible references

– James 5:14-15 – “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
– Psalm 103:2-4 – “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.”
– 1 Peter 2:24 – “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
– Jeremiah 17:14 – “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
– Romans 8:26 – “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

Heavenly Father, I come before you with a heart burdened by the suffering of [person’s name]. You are the God who heals, and I lift [person’s name] up to you in faith, believing in your power to bring restoration and healing.

Lord Jesus, you went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. I ask that you extend your healing hand over [person’s name] and touch every area of their body, mind, and spirit that is in need of your miraculous intervention.

I claim the promise in James 5:15, which says, ‘And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.’ I stand on your Word and ask for the manifestation of your healing power in [person’s name]’s life.

May your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard [person’s name]’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Surround them with your love and comfort as they navigate through this season of illness.

I also pray for the medical professionals involved in [person’s name]’s care, that you guide their hands and grant them wisdom in making decisions for the best course of treatment.

Thank you, Lord, for being our Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. We trust in your mercy and grace, believing that you are working all things together for good.

In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer, I pray. Amen.
