Heavenly Father,

I come before you with a heart burdened by the struggles of temptation. Your Word assures me that you are faithful and will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear, but will provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). Today, I humbly seek your strength and guidance in resisting the temptations that entangle me.

Lord, your Son, Jesus Christ, faced temptations in the wilderness and emerged victorious by relying on your Word (Matthew 4:1-11). Like Him, I turn to your Word as my source of strength and wisdom. May your Scriptures be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, guiding me away from the allure of sin (Psalm 119:105).

I acknowledge my own weaknesses and limitations, but I trust in your power to overcome. Your Word encourages me to “watch and pray so that I will not fall into temptation” (Matthew 26:41). I commit to being vigilant in prayer, seeking your presence to guard my heart and mind.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). Fill me with your Holy Spirit, that I may walk in the fruit of self-control and resist the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:22-23).

I take refuge in you, Lord, knowing that you are my strength and shield. Help me to stand firm in faith, resisting the schemes of the enemy. Grant me discernment to recognize the subtle traps and the courage to turn away from them.

Thank you, Father, for your grace that empowers me to overcome. In moments of weakness, may I find refuge in your presence and find strength in the promise that, with your help, I can endure and overcome every temptation.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.
